Welcome to The City Gate! My name is Kristan, and I am pretty much the whole show around here. For years I have had a love of sewing and have listened to my friends tell me, “You should make these and sell them!”, so I thought, why not.
I am a stay-at-home mom to two wonderful children, Hannah, aka “Squirrel”, and William, aka “Moose”. If you want to know what life is like with two crazy kids running around, check out my other blog, Moose and Squirrel’s Zoo. It’s not always the most up to date, but then again, neither are we! I have been married to my fantastic husband for seven years now and feel old everytime I think about how long we have been married.
People always ask me, “Where did you get the name The City Gate?” It comes from one of my favorite passages of scripture, Proverbs 31, The Wife of Noble Character. I strive everyday, and fail miserably, to be a little more like her. Specifically, the passage of scripture is Proverbs 31:31, “Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”
